Christopher Samuel Mayanja is the Head Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Department at Uganda management Institute (UMI). He holds a PhD in Educational Leadership, management and policy from the University of KwaZulu Natal, South Africa with focus on Gender and Leadership. Christopher holds a Master of management Studies (Project planning and Management) from Uganda Management Institute; a Postgraduate Diploma in demography from Cairo Demographic Center, Egypt; and a Bachelor of Science (Economics) degree attained at Makerere University, Uganda.
Christopher holds vast experience in strategic planning and Management, where he was a member of the Strategic Planning Committee, which drew and cascaded the Uganda Management Institute 2013-18 Five Year Strategic Plan(SP). He chaired the Mid-term review of this SP and he also chaired the SP Alignment Committee which developed the 2017-20 UMI SP as aligned to the NDP II. He apparently chairs the SP Formulation Committee which is developing the 2020-2025 UMI SP. Christopher is a resource person on the Gender and Equity Budgeting resource pool at Uganda Management Institute.
