The African Evaluation Association (AfrEA) is a non-profit umbrella organization, established in 1999, for African Voluntary Organizations for Professional Development (VOPE). With Headquarters in Accra, Ghana, it provides a relevant response to a growing demand for information sharing, advocacy and capacity building for advanced assessment in Africa.
One of AfrEA’s main activities is the organization of an International Biennial Conference. To date, ten (10) biennial international evaluation conferences have been held across Africa to promote the development of Africa-based Monitoring & Evaluation.
The 11th International Conference of AfrEA is scheduled to take place from March 18-22, 2024 in Kigali, Rwanda. This conference is being held in partnership with the Rwanda Monitoring and Evaluation Organization (RMEO) and the Government of Rwanda. Details about the conference will be announced at a later time.
This high-level meeting, offered by AfrEA, will provide an excellent opportunity for international development organizations, evaluators, government agencies, academics, think-tanks, and parliamentarians to promote the culture of evidence-based monitoring and evaluation and policy influence, by setting up sound and effective national evaluation systems.
We are highly appreciative of the enormous contribution made by your organization in promoting the monitoring, evaluation and accountability and learning agenda. It is in this regard that we are giving you advance notice about the 11th AfrEA International Biennial Conference
Please accept, the assurance of my highest consideration
Rosetti Nabbumba Nayenga
