Resources Training

Masters Scholarship

Uganda is one of the six countries  (Benin, South Africa, Niger, Ghana and Kenya) that form part of the Twende Mbele programme, an innovative initiative to strengthen monitoring and evaluation systems through peer learning and collaboration in Africa. The Office of the Prime Minister: M&E Directorate hosts the programme on behalf of the Government of Uganda.

Programme activities of Twende Mbele have significant scope to contribute to research in the region, and at the same time, due to the innovative nature of the programme, there is a real need to make sure that strong academic research is underpinning our programme development. With this in mind, Twende Mbele is supporting an emergent research agenda around number of streams of inquiry (see details in the attached advertisement).

On behalf of Twende Mbele management,  we would  therefore like to invite research proposals from Master students from the fields of management, public administration, and across the social sciences, to participate in research linked to the work of the Twende Mbele initiative. Twende Mbele aims to support one Masters student in Uganda – please see details of application  procedures and address in the attached advert.

The purpose of this email is therefore to request you to share this information/advertisement with your students who may benefit from conducting research in any of the four areas (in the advert) for their research topics, as requirements toward their qualification.

Please let me know if you have any further questions regarding the attached. Students interested in applying can send their applications directly to Dr Tirivanhu (, cc’d above.
