Performance management is intended largely for the following major reasons; (1) monitoring strategic progress, project performance, programmatic assumptions, and operational context; (2) evaluating performance and impact; (3) learning and adapting from evidence1. Secondly, performance management is critical for accountability and reporting functions, which are a bridge between the implementation team and the wider stakeholders (funders and beneficiaries).
Uganda’s International Evaluation Week will provide a platform for learning from an estimated 300 delegates, policy makers, peers, Young and Emerging Evaluators (YEEs) and experienced evaluation specialists.
