IOCE Grant for UEA to Mentor Tanzania Evaluation Association

We are greatly honored that UEA bidded and won a small grant ($10,000) from the International Organization for Cooperation in Evaluation (IOCE) to do a peer to peer project with the Tanzania Evaluation Association during March to September 2017. The Project title is “Regional Integration of Capacities in Evaluation”. The members of the think tank who prepared the proposal and are going to execute the project are: Mrs. Asiimwe Joy Turyamwijuka (UEA General Secretary and Project leader), Ms. Josephine Etima (UEA member) and Mr. Tom Kisembo Balemesa (UEA member). We congratulate them upon this achievement.

One of the key activities that will be held to engage all of you in this project is the next Kampala Evaluation Talk (KET) that will involve video-conferencing with our Tanzania Counterparts, tentatively set for 2nd March 2017 at Uganda Management Institute. More details will be provided soon. There will also be an exchange visit for each team to go to the respective countries to undertake scheduled events. The Tanzania team will be here to participate in the 8th AFREA Conference during 27th to 31st March 2017. Let us look out and engage with the team when they are here in Kampala.

I encourage you to join the think tank and write proposals to increase our international presence while building our capacity.

Thanks

Rosetti Nabbumba Nayenga
President
Uganda Evaluation Association
